Sleep DME

What you need to know about DME and your sleep lab today.

There are three main things to know about sleep DME today.

  1. DME can be a tremendous ancillary revenue stream to your sleep services. Opinion is that patients are better followed and therefore more compliant when their DME is managed at the sleep lab where they began their sleep service due to an improved patient/provider relationship.
  2. National Competitive Bidding (NCB) is law and CPAP is one of the product categories that it affects. You need to know and understand well how NCB can affect your sleep DME services.
  3. CMS requires DME (CPAP) providers to meet very strict requirements, including accreditation in order to qualify for Medicare reimbursement.
